Pricey but worth it. Very good experience there. The staff always seemed well trained and professional. The food I'd a wide variety from salad to shrimp or crab legs to desert. You won't leave hungry. It's been a long time established restaurant in Hampton roads for a long time. It's just as good as as it was 30 years ago.

I love this place all you can eat seafood for 37 dollars you can't beat that!!! They also have a wide range of desserts my favorite is the strawberry shortcake.

Omg! If you are a seafood lover, go here!! The food is fabulous. And there are so many choices! Have been here several times and have never been displeased in any way, with food or service. There is most always a long line to get in, but that that just verifies how wonderful it is.

The bread and tortellini were PHENOMENAL!!! I could not believe how tasty the hush puppies were. The saltines were also top notch. The water was chilled to perfection and refilled very promptly. The atmosphere was so wonderful.

Nice for a once of year seafood binge. Food is really good. Price of buffet keeps going up and is quite pricey. Make sure you are hungry and love seafood. Be prepared for those customers are who go to the buffet and take all the crab legs at once as though they can't come back for more. You end up standing there waiting for them to bring out more.

Food is always wonderful and plentiful. I've never had a bad experience here even when they are extremely busy. My only wish is that they would add lobster tails to the buffet...but I'm sure it would come with a price

One of the better known and best places for a seafood buffet in the Williamsburg Area. Having lived in the area for 35+ years this is one of the local restaurants we always bring out of town guests. There are so many items on the buffet, too many to list but they are best known for their unlimited crab legs. Stop and and enjoy.

I placed a nice size order for 330 pickup today "mothers day" when I arrived for pickup I was told to wait in line. After 40mins of sitting in line I tried to call again to go inside to pick up order. They wasnt having it. I mean I understand this covid 19 bs but the Gm tom could've handled the situation a bit more professional. I made my mind to leave so.i wouldn't be late for mother's day dinner and just come back later and work it out. Not come back to get attitude from the Gm who has no life.

Wonderful seafood. Food bars are kept replenished especially the crab legs. Went on Superbowl Sunday for my birthday. Waiter was friendly and attentive.

Have been there many times throughout the years but the most recent visit was 2/18/20 and couldn’t recommend this location higher for the preparation of everything on the bar. Not too over or under prepared...light golden brown for perfection! Gave my compliments to both the manager and kitchen manager. When it’s perfect...they deserve to be informed! Highly Recommend!!!

Food was hot and fresh. My crab legs all came out whole when I cracked them and shrimp were cooked well. I thoroughly enjoyed everything I put on my plates. Server was awesome but I can't remember her name 🤦🏾‍♀️

MAAAAAAANNNNNNN!!!! You can't go wrong eating here. Service is GREAT! As well as the food. If you like seafood. Don't come looking for something else. The best seafood spot I've ever been to.

A good place to go if you want great seafood. Just go at the right time or you’ll be waiting in line for an hour or more.

I eat this place sometimes a couple times a month. Don't know if I will be going back. They had people giving out crablegs. I go there to eat all you can eat whatever I want not to have someone saying 1 or 2 clusters. If I want 5, I will take 5 and eat them. Horrible idea. My guess its to cut down how many are eaten. It worked I got tired of walking back and forth. They lost my business and I have been eating there for years.

All you can eat includes seafood, soul food and large dessert menu. Food is delicious and great service. The crab legs are excellent.

I LOVE seafood!!! At one time I would have eaten here every night! Now the food is mediocre at best. For the price I would expect much better door. That staff was great though! I would not recommend it. You can get better door cheaper other places.

This place was amazing! Very friendly staff, our waiter was amazing kept our drinks full and ours discard bowl empty. The decor was stunning very bright and open. I definitely will be returning here whenever I'm in the area

The Best-selling food ever, by getting the Buffet all you can Seafood. There is words to express. That the place to go, and eat and enjoy yourself. You get a 5 star from me! Because it's worth every penny of your money wish they consider putting one in Charlottesville VA area.

Really nothing special. I expected better flavor in all the seafood. Oysters and scallops were both over cooked. Crab legs are getting really small. Service was excellent. But really not worth 40 bucks a person.

We went on Tuesday at 5:30 pm. The service and cleanliness was great. The food is quantity over quality. Most of the food we had was warm, not hot. The only seafood we had was shrimp which was very good. The cost after tip and tax (for two people) including two sodas was around $100.00. We do not plan to return there.

Somewhat better than Golden Corral in my opinion, except for the crab legs, which were of decent size and excellently tasty. Crab legs were awesome. But...$130 for 3 people was way to much for this meal. Cut the price in half and it would be worth it though.

This place has always been a favorite of mine. I go for the crab legs and have never been disappointed! Great service, as well! Please remember to tip generously as the servers are required to relinquish some of their total to the bartenders and other service providers.

Large restaurant, clean, well laid out. The food was really good and there were a ton of choices. Service was friendly and attentive! A little on the pricey side at $39 a person. But not bad for an all you can eat seafood buffet with crab legs. I would definitely recommend checking it out!!

I was just awe struck at the amount of seafood available. They had a very good process on how to deal with small crowds and large crowds. The bar was always stocked with fresh food. The serve was polite and attentive.

When you see the bill it can be a bit of sticker shock, but considering what you get it is worth it. All you can eat sea food and desert. We have gone several times and will go again. Enjoyed the variety of options available including the almost always full crab legs.

Got there Thursday evening around 5:50. My only regret is I wish there was a larger selection of seafood dishes, instead of just fried, roasted or steamed. Yes there's lots of fried dishes and roasted stuff swimming butter or oil, but those items hold up better on a buffet. The scallops and oysters were slightly over cooked and therefore tougher, but they were still delicious. More like the Crab Imperial. A nice Seafood Newburg or the like. Buffet was well stocked though. We didn't try the steamed crabs or shrimp. The Oysters Rockefeller and Deviled Crab we're good.Unlike most buffets I've been to, the deserts weren't just sweet. They had some real flavor and a large variety, including baklava.My mother, who doesn't move well, had trouble with long walk from the parking, in back, to the entrance, in front. If someone in your party has a mobility problem drop them off at the entrance.

Captain George's Seafood is a great place for a couple or a group. For what is available on the Buffett, the price was good and the wait staff made it better. On a normal buffet you have to wonder where your waiter or waitress is, not at Captain George's, they are very attentive. When we are back in the area, this is truly a must visit again. The food was good, whether by sea or land, they had something for everyone.

We come every year for my husband’s birthday! It’s his favorite seafood restaurant! The wait staff are the best! So helpful, friendly and attentive! The food is great! Worth the $$!

You want great seafood? This is the place. I went for my birthday, and it's STILL my favorite seafood restaurant.

Ordered off the regular menu. I've never been a big fan of buffets and I don't have a tremendous appetite. They provide a large serving portion for the order. The wife and cousin enjoyed the buffet. They have a very large selection of foods and desserts. Can't wait to bring the whole family back.

We got there Saturday afternoon at 4 and this was the line! Surprisingly it went pretty fast. Took probably 20 minutes to get inside and seated for 4. 4 Buffers with 4 cocktails, tax and tip..$230....I definitely ate my weight in crab legs! I've been wanting to go to Captain George's for a good month..I've gotten my fill! Have fun!

What else can I say about a place we travel 3.5 hours every Valentine's? The food is delicious and tasty but the crab legs are the main attraction! The buffet is absolutely the best! I would give it 5 stars but the dessert could use an upgrade. For 40 bucks you can eat all the seafood you desire. From crablegs to fish, from oysters to ribs, Captain George's 70 item buffet does not disappoint. We make a weekend of shopping at the outlets and dining at the Captains every year. Try it, you will enjoy!

Captain George's is an awesome restaurant to enjoy a great meal especially if you are a seafood lover like myself beautiful atmosphere and we were attended by a wonderful waitress a delectable variety of food and an Amazing job professionalism from all staff and management highly recommend this restaurant

This place is absolutely fantastic! We stopped by on Sunday for lunch and saw a huge line, but it took us only about half an hour to get to the table and that wait time was well worth it!There was no lack of any buffet items, all the seafood was cooked spot on, all other items from salads to mac'n'cheese to other entrees were absolutely delicious. Last but not least, deserts were amazing, especially the cherry pie. Service was prompt and attentive.Overall experience has exceeded my expectations, if this place wasn't this far of a drive I'd be here more often!

This place is a great place to come with your significant other and/or family. This place is well kept and they're choices for those of you who don't normally eat seafood. Staff was excellent.

A very well known restaurant in Williamsburg Virginia, dependent upon the time you arrive, there may be a wait. The selections food on the buffet is great, however the majority is fried and not gluten friendly. It is a bit overpriced too. The staff is attentive and friendly

Our first time visiting and it was great. This is great for large parties. The food was so good. Crabs legs were so good as well. The food was hot and fresh. Our server was very attentive. I thought the atmosphere was so cool. So happy that we decided to have dinner here. A bit pricey but well worth it.

Amazing. I ate like 4 plates of crab legs. Best seafood place around this area. Kind of pricey for the buffet, but totally worth it.

We went on Valentine's day. It was good went early because it got crowded. The service was great and the crab legs were great.

Great seafood buffet. Seems a little classier than the VA Beach location. Staff was very nice and attentive. The snow crab legs were very good. Huge selection of seafood, ribs, chicken and veggies. I think they had the best friend scallops I've ever had and the raw oysters were fresh as well. Very large seating area. Plan to pay for it though. Family of 4, 2 adults and 2 kids.. 1 beer, 1 tea, 2 waters $139 before tip, but if you have a big appetite you can eat your money's worth.

This place was absolutely amazing!! It is a buffet but its not exactly cheap. Its about $30 a person but its worth it!! If you like seafood, this place is a must!!! From the atmosphere to the food to the servers!! I waw highly satisfied with all of it!

The crab legs were always full and never had to wait to get more and the place seemed really busy. The muscles and little neck clams were really good. The fish seemed a little dry but wasnt the focus of what I was eating. Will go back there again.

I have yet to understand what I'm paying for. The food is ok...but the price is just outrageous. I can go to a lovely traditional restaurant, be it a seafood place or not, and get far more exceptional food for the same, if not lower price. Just two of us going here and the bill was over $90?!?! And we only had tea to drink. Maybe in it's heyday it was great...but I just don't see spending almost $50/person on something that was just...OK.

The buffet was delicious! I enjoyed the cajun steamed crab legs. Hands down one of the best buffets in the area.
